Exercises To Improve Your Posture

Good posture can take 3 kg (7 lb) off your body image. Reprogramme your alignment by conditioning your body with this basic exercise. Repeat three times a day, so that good posture becomes second nature.

Simple Exercises To Improve Your Posture

1. Stand about 30 cm (12 in) away from a wall, facing the room; your knees should be relaxed and feet hip-width apart. Pull your stomach muscles in toward the wall. Breathe out and press your head, shoulders, upper back and hips into the wall.

2. Hold your spine straight and stomach muscles taut. Push away from the wall with your hands into a free-standing position. Look straight ahead without raising or jutting your chin. Relax your shoulders without slouching. This is what perfect posture feels like.
